This recipe is for a cranberry and apple infused vodka it’s a nice and light infusion that works great for pre-dinner drinks. I really like to use it in cosmos or even martinis. It’s a great way to add some unique flavor and flair to your pre-dinner festivities. I enjoy the flavor combination of the sour apples with the cranberry. They just go together remarkably well and the vodka being a mild spirit allows the flavors to come through and shine.

Ingredients

For the Cranberry Apple Vodka

  • 1 Granny Smith apple
  • 1 cup cranberries
  • 2 cups vodka

Instructions

Preheat a water bath to 140°F (60.0°C).

Lightly scrub the outside of the apple then core and coarsely chop it. Lightly crush the cranberries with a rolling pin or the back of a knife. Combine the apple chunks, cranberries, and vodka in a sous vide bag or Mason jar then seal and place in the water bath. Heat the infusion for 1 to 3 hours.

Prepare an ice bath with 1⁄2 ice and 1⁄2 water. Remove the bag or Mason jar from the water bath and place in the ice bath for 15 to 20 minutes. Strain the vodka and store in a sealed container.
